You can easily apply this trick into your blogger sidebar widgets doing some changes in your blogger HTML template. You are compulsory to give it a title for some widgets such as the Search Box, Popular Posts, Followers (Google Friend Connect), labels and blog archive etc. Your widget never gonna work without filling your title column if you are using a custom template. See below demo screenshot ▼

add search box without title

For doing this trick you have to find your widget ID. In the above image ▲ I tried to add search box with out title, but failed. Now lets see how to find your sidebar widget ID from your blogger template. follow below steps.

  • Go to Blogger Dashboard > Template
  • Backup your Template before making any changes to your blog
  • Click on Edit HTML
  • Tick Expand Widget Templates
  • Press Ctrl + F and search the code shown below ▼

<b:widget id='CustomSearch1' locked='false' title='Search This Blog' type='CustomSearch'/>

In the above ▲ code 'CustomSearch' can be Popular Posts, Blog Archive, HTML, Text, Image or other types of widgets available, '1' can be any numbers depending on the number of widgets your have and 'Search This Blog' being the name of the widget.

Now we can get into this trick. But before doing this task please read below warning message.
